First aid for a minor burn

1. Immediately cool the injured area for a minimum of 20 minutes using cool running water from a tap or shower.
2. After cooling the injured area for up to 20 minutes, apply a sterile dressing.
3. Remove tight items, such as rings, from the burned area. Be gentle.

In order to prevent thermal trauma, please be careful and follow these steps:
matches and lighters are tools, not toys. Never allow children to play with lighters or matches;
use safety plug sockets cover in the house;
remove electrical equipment that appears to be worn;
for fire prevention, it would be good to have smoke detectors in each room;
do not smoke in the house;
the water in the bathtub, especially for children, must not have a temperature higher than 49°C. Always check the water temperature before putting the baby in the tub;
keep the child away from the tap because it can open it, there is a risk of scalding;
pay close attention to the kitchen and block the child's access to the stove, as much as possible;
avoid using tablecloths; children can easily pull them out and could overturn the vessels with hot liquids;
if you have a pot with hot contents, make sure that the child is not around;
do not hold the child in your arms when cooking;
Do not heat baby bottles in the microwave. They can get too hot and cause burns;
In summer, use the playground equipment carefully. They could be used more in the morning, when they are not hot;
20-30 minutes before sun exposure, a layer of sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15 - adapted to the child's skin type should be applied. The product should be reapplied every 2 hours or more often if the baby enters the water;
children under 6 months should not be exposed to direct sunlight.
